Blue Star Manufacturing PVT LTD is offering an App Developer Internship based at Johar Town Expo Center, Lahore. This opportunity is ideal for final semester students or recent graduates with 0–1 years of experience who are eager to gain hands-on experience in Shopify app development. The internship is a three-month onsite program with working hours from 12 PM to 9 PM, Saturday and Sunday off. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and customizing Shopify apps and store functionalities.
- Support theme customization using Liquid, Shopify’s templating language.
- Help build and integrate custom features using Shopify API (REST and/or GraphQL).
- Assist with third-party app integrations such as payment gateways, shipping tools, and marketing apps.
- Debug and resolve issues in existing Shopify stores and apps.
- Support testing of app functionality across various store setups.
- Collaborate with the design team to implement UI elements into Shopify storefronts.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Liquid or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Fundamental knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control.
- Basic programming logic, including loops, functions, and conditionals, from any programming language background.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Any prior exposure to Shopify, even through a personal trial store, is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of Node.js, which is used in Shopify’s app framework.
- Familiarity with React, utilized in Shopify’s Polaris admin framework.
- Personal projects or GitHub repositories demonstrating web development skills.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce concepts such as checkout flow, inventory management, and product variants.
