Applied AI Engineer - Agents & Automations

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement self-improving agent pipelines that extract structured data from diverse medical documents such as invoices, hospital records, and pre-authorization requests. You will define specifications, oversee iterative agent development, evaluate performance, and deploy improvements.
- Develop production-grade AI agents capable of monitoring their own operations, detecting anomalies, and providing clear, actionable alerts instead of raw error logs. These agents may also perform automated rollbacks to maintain system stability.
- Build advanced business intelligence agents that autonomously query structured databases, generate hypotheses, and surface insights. These agents will help answer critical healthcare questions such as the causes of medical inflation and the flow of healthcare funds.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in designing and deploying AI systems in production environments, preferably involving complex, unstructured data sources.
- Strong software engineering skills with the ability to own end-to-end system architecture and handle failure modes effectively.
- Familiarity with multi-step AI workflows and iterative agent development processes.
- Ability to evaluate AI agent performance critically and implement continuous improvements.
- Experience working with healthcare data or a strong interest in applying AI to healthcare challenges is highly desirable.
