Applied AI Scientist – Full-Time (Remote, Pakistan) – Mid to Senior Level (PhD Required)
We are seeking a highly skilled and quantitatively strong data professional with a PhD in a relevant field to join our team as an Applied AI Scientist. This role involves bridging rigorous statistical analysis with practical AI development to enhance Pixalate’s suite of products, including trust & safety, ad fraud detection, and brand safety. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in statistics and machine learning to build intelligent agents and automated pipelines that ensure data accuracy, model integrity, and product reliability at scale. You will play a critical role in translating complex data insights into actionable AI systems that perform quality assurance, anomaly detection, and flagging across large datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze traffic, behavioral, and signal data to detect patterns, anomalies, and data quality issues.
- Translate complex quantitative findings into clear, actionable recommendations for engineering, product, and cross-functional teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain AI agents, dashboards, and reporting pipelines to monitor data quality, trends, and overall product health.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to uphold data quality and integrity throughout product pipelines.
- Work alongside AI/ML teams to integrate QA findings into model improvements, closing the feedback loop.
- Support data needs across Pixalate’s product portfolio, including supply-side intelligence, multi-factor authentication detection, seller/app ratings, and compliance-related solutions.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or data analytics roles.
- Strong foundation in statistics, including understanding distributions, hypothesis testing, model evaluation, and identifying failure points.
- Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and AI agents, including prompt engineering, tool utilization, and designing agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model development.
- Critical thinking skills with a natural skepticism toward data quality and model outputs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Experience in cybersecurity, fraud detection, trust & safety, or digital advertising ecosystems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration patterns.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving product requirements.
- Candidates who demonstrate both theoretical depth and practical implementation skills are highly encouraged to apply.
