As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated AR and Collection Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounts receivable and collections within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with customer inquiries and resolve issues through professional and timely communication via email and phone.
- Manage a portfolio of outstanding customer accounts, following up on overdue balances to ensure timely collections.
- Maintain accuracy of customer account balances by issuing and reviewing customer statements regularly.
- Support the creation of AR invoices and serve as a backup to the billing specialist when needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure AR and collection processes align with organizational goals.
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal teams and external clients.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects such as system upgrades and integration efforts related to new business acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with a preference for Accounting, though not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of accounts receivable processes and customer collections.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with pivot tables and basic functions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across various organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- High attention to detail combined with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Previous internship or relevant office experience is advantageous.
