Marjjan Construction Pvt Ltd, a well-established renovation and construction company operating in DHA and greater Lahore, is seeking a skilled Freelance Architect / Interior Designer for project-based collaboration. This role involves working on residential and commercial renovation and construction projects, with a focus on architectural design as well as preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs. The position offers flexibility with on-site and hybrid working options based in Lahore. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to work on multiple projects as part of an expanding project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop architectural layouts, floor plans, and interior design concepts tailored for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and mood boards to effectively present design ideas to clients.
- Accurately prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor requirements.
- Estimate project costs and assist in budgeting processes based on the BOQ.
- Collaborate closely with the construction team to ensure designs are feasible and executed smoothly on-site.
- Recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and furniture selections that align with client budgets and project briefs.
- Revise and update designs in response to client feedback and site conditions.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience working on residential and/or commercial projects, supported by a portfolio of completed work.
- Hands-on experience in preparing BOQs and quantity take-offs for construction or renovation projects.
- Proficiency in design and estimation software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and BOQ/estimation tools such as Excel or CostX.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a team.
- Must be based in Lahore or willing to work closely with a Lahore-based team.
