This leadership role involves overseeing the academic management and operational efficiency of multiple schools within a designated area. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of principals, ensuring continuous improvement in student enrollment, fee collection, and fleet management. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with administrative staff to maintain accurate academic data and support overall school performance.

Key Responsibilities

Overall Area Leadership:
Lead and manage the academic functions of all schools in the area, including direct oversight of the principal cohort. Ensure improvements in student strength ratio (SSR), optimize fee collection processes, and supervise daily fleet operations. Manage the Area Administrator to handle administrative tasks and maintain academic data integrity through analysis, verification, and preservation.

Relationship Management:
Foster strong communication channels with community members to leverage local resources for school support. Encourage principals to maintain active engagement with parents and occasionally participate in parent-student meetings. Liaise with donors regarding education-related activities as needed. Collaborate with other Area Education Managers (AEMs) to promote a cooperative working environment, share best practices, and contribute to regional development.

Quality of Principals:
Drive the professional growth and effectiveness of the principal cohort. Partner with the Recruitment and Human Resources (RHR) Manager to attract and select qualified local principals, including involvement in assessment centers. Ensure principals fully engage in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) visits and receive regular academic feedback through formal appraisals. Support principals with Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) when necessary.

Quality of Teachers:
Enhance the quality of the teaching staff by focusing on content knowledge and pedagogical skills through Teacher Capacity Training (TCT). Collaborate with principals to recruit skilled local teachers, particularly in challenging locations. Approve teacher transfers and promotion recommendations. Conduct at least one classroom observation during each visit and provide consistent, constructive feedback.

Quality of Schools:
Develop and implement targeted action plans for underperforming schools, with ongoing monitoring to ensure progress. Strategize area-wide improvements through the Area Improvement Plan (AIP), aligning efforts with overall school and regional goals.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of three years’ experience serving as a school principal.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and Urdu.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and internet applications.
- Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills to interpret academic data and inform decision-making.
