Assistant Director (Software)

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer with a solid educational background and substantial experience in the ICT sector. The ideal candidate will possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline from a reputable university recognized and verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Candidates must have achieved a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 75% marks and bring at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience in a well-established public or private sector ICT organization. This role demands a professional who is adept at managing complex network environments and committed to maintaining high standards of network security and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including TCP/IP protocols, VLANs, subnetting, routing, switching, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), DHCP, DNS, and NAT configurations. Administer Layer-2 and Layer-3 switches along with enterprise-grade firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network operations. Configure and maintain IPsec and SSL VPNs to provide secure remote access solutions. Utilize network monitoring tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, ntopng, and Wireshark to proactively monitor network performance and resolve issues promptly. Implement network segmentation strategies to enhance security and optimize traffic flow. Manage virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox to support virtualized network environments. Oversee server backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree (four years) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution is mandatory. Candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 75% marks. Additionally, at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable ICT organization, whether in the public or private sector, is required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable and will strengthen the candidate’s profile. A Master’s degree (18 years of education) in a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) or the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) will be considered an advantage.
