Assistant Grower

Spurt Nova, a leading aeroponic and hydroponic farming company in Pakistan, is seeking an Assistant Grower to support its clients in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi region. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing nutrient solutions and providing day-to-day crop care to ensure healthy and productive aeroponic farms. This position involves regular visits to client farms, offering technical advice, and serving as the primary field support contact for growers.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and on-request visits to client aeroponic farms in the Islamabad/Rawalpindi area.
- Manage and advise on nutrient solution preparation, dosing, and necessary corrections, with a strong focus on pH and electrical conductivity (EC) management.
- Work within controlled environment greenhouses to optimize crop growth conditions.
- Monitor crop growth stages and assist in planning crop schedules, including nursery, transplanting, and harvest phases.
- Identify nutrient deficiencies, diseases, and pest issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Apply integrated pest and disease management (IPM) practices to maintain crop health.
- Monitor greenhouse climate factors such as temperature, humidity, and light, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Guide clients on seed selection, germination, and seedling management to ensure successful crop establishment.
- Maintain detailed crop records, including growth progress, yield data, inputs used, and observations.
- Inspect basic farm infrastructure and system components such as towers, pumps, nozzles, tanks, and greenhouse structures, reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
- Train client staff on nutrient management and routine crop care practices to enhance farm operations.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports after each farm visit, outlining findings and recommendations.
- Coordinate closely with the Spurt Nova technical team and agronomists to ensure consistent support and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of nutrient management in hydroponic and aeroponic systems.
- Good understanding of hydroponic and aeroponic farming techniques.
- Basic knowledge of greenhouse structures and their operational requirements.
- Valid driving license with willingness to travel regularly within the Islamabad/Rawalpindi region.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
