Assistant Grower

Spurt Nova, a leading aeroponic and hydroponic farming company in Pakistan, is seeking an Assistant Grower to support its clients in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi region. The role involves providing technical assistance in nutrient management and daily crop care for aeroponic farms. The Assistant Grower will serve as the primary field contact for clients, ensuring healthy and productive crop growth through hands-on support and expert advice.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular visits to client aeroponic farms according to schedule and on request.
- Manage and advise on pH and electrical conductivity (EC) levels for optimal nutrient balance.
- Work within controlled environment greenhouses to monitor and maintain crop health.
- Provide guidance on nutrient preparation, dosing, and necessary corrections.
- Monitor crop growth stages and assist in planning crop schedules including nursery, transplanting, and harvest phases.
- Identify nutrient deficiencies, diseases, and pest issues, recommending appropriate corrective measures.
- Implement integrated pest and disease management (IPM) strategies.
- Monitor greenhouse climate factors such as temperature, humidity, and light, advising clients on potential improvements.
- Assist clients with seed selection, germination, and seedling management techniques.
- Maintain detailed crop records covering growth progress, yield, inputs, and observations.
- Inspect basic farm infrastructure including towers, pumps, nozzles, tanks, and greenhouse structures, reporting any faults.
- Train client staff on nutrient management and routine crop care practices.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports after each farm visit, outlining findings and recommendations.
- Coordinate effectively with the Spurt Nova technical team and agronomists to ensure consistent client support.

Required Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of nutrient management principles.
- Good understanding of hydroponic and aeroponic farming systems.
- Basic familiarity with greenhouse structures and their maintenance.
- Valid driving license with willingness to travel within the Islamabad/Rawalpindi region.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
