Assistant Maintenance Officer-Civil

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Maintenance Supervisor to support the planning, supervision, and execution of all civil maintenance activities within the institution. This role involves overseeing the upkeep and repair of various infrastructure elements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to maintain a safe and functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in planning, supervising, and executing civil maintenance activities across the institution.
- Monitor repair and maintenance work on buildings, classrooms, offices, corridors, washrooms, boundary walls, roads, pavements, and other civil infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure timely completion of both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Support supervision of construction, renovation, remodeling, and refurbishment projects.
- Track project progress, workmanship quality, material standards, and adherence to approved specifications.
- Verify completion of work and ensure projects meet approved timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, water supply networks, drainage systems, and sanitary installations.
- Supervise aluminum and glazing works, including windows, doors, partitions, and related installations.
- Manage gardening, landscaping, and beautification efforts within the institution.
- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship quality, and compliance with safety requirements.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, cost estimates, maintenance schedules, and work completion documentation.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety regulations, and relevant building codes.
- Support maintenance of fire safety equipment and emergency preparedness measures.
- Coordinate civil and logistical arrangements for institutional events and special functions.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in civil maintenance supervision or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, construction processes, and relevant safety standards.
- Ability to conduct inspections and identify maintenance needs accurately.
- Experience in managing contractors and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with plumbing, glazing, landscaping, and fire safety systems.
- Competence in preparing technical documentation, cost estimates, and maintenance schedules.
- Good organizational and communication skills to ensure effective project execution.
