The Assistant Manager Accounts role is based in Lahore at A1 Society, Township, and offers a dynamic opportunity within the FMCG distribution sector. This position requires a dedicated professional to manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and supporting the company’s financial planning processes. The role operates Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a competitive salary range of PKR 130,000 to 160,000, inclusive of benefits. The successful candidate will work on-site and play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update comprehensive financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and reconcile daily sales, purchase, and expense reports to ensure accuracy.
- Manage bank reconciliations and prepare detailed cash flow statements.
- Monitor inventory costs, supplier payments, and distributor margins to optimize financial performance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws such as Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax, and file all returns punctually.
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to align with company goals.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to management to aid in strategic decision-making.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within FMCG, distribution, or trading sectors.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards applicable in Pakistan.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems, along with advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with strong organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and the capability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
