We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the Manager in Finance Business Partner activities related to Transmission Routine – Grid Station Operations. This role primarily focuses on budgeting, controlling, and management reporting to ensure financial discipline and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, controlling, and reporting activities, including preparing annual CAPEX and REVEX budgets for all departments and monitoring actual consumption against forecasts.
- Develop monthly CAPEX and REVEX variance reports, including actual versus NEPRA-allowed reports, to enhance financial control and transparency.
- Analyze spending discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments to address variances.
- Prepare and submit various reports related to the transmission network for regulatory bodies such as NEPRA.
- Monitor and report on transmission special projects, including timeline and budget evaluations before and after project execution.
- Ensure robust internal controls over expenditure, maintaining accurate transaction records and providing variance analysis throughout the year.
- Prepare monthly Plant Maintenance (PM) order settlement reports and work closely with user departments to resolve outstanding issues.
- Generate quarterly reports on CGTO goals, identifying and explaining any variances.
- Oversee closing activities, including monitoring plant maintenance orders and WBS for material procurement, issuance, and consumption.
- Coordinate with users to maintain settlement rules and ensure timely monthly settlements of plant maintenance orders and WBS.
- Review and report on CAPEX cash spending monthly, providing variance explanations to the Business Partnering team.
- Prepare monthly O&M and CWIP reports, explaining variances against the fiscal year budget.
- Reconcile invoices and payments monthly, resolving overdue payments and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and signature mandates to strengthen financial controls.
- Liaise with transmission users, payables, treasury, and auditors to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth payment processing.
- Support SAP S/4HANA implementation by managing data migration from SAP ECC, conducting testing, and serving as the primary contact between the department and consultants.
- Participate actively in testing phases, providing feedback to improve system functionality.
- Assist in digitalization and innovation projects, including developing dashboards for enhanced control and reporting.
- Manage fixed assets by capitalizing quarterly, maintaining accurate asset master data, handling transfers and disposals, and collaborating with reporting teams to ensure data completeness.
Required Qualifications
- ACCA certification or MBA in Finance.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in a business partnering role, preferably within finance or transmission operations.
- Strong financial analysis skills with proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Good command of SAP modules, particularly MM, PS, and FI.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders as a team player.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Competencies
- Functional expertise in business acumen, financial and contract management, data analytics, supply chain, tax management, project and operational management, internal audit techniques, insurance fundamentals, and process safety management.
- Experience in performance monitoring, measurement, and financial management.
- Familiarity with business automation and digital transformation initiatives.
