SGS, the world’s leading Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) company, is seeking a skilled Assistant Manager - Energy Audit to oversee the technical delivery of energy audit projects based in Karachi. This role involves managing energy audits from start to finish, including scoping, site measurements, detailed analysis, recommendations, and obtaining client approval. The successful candidate will also mentor and guide a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality project execution and adherence to safety standards. Frequent travel to client sites across Pakistan is expected.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive energy audits (ISO 50002 / ASHRAE Level II-III) for industrial and commercial clients, covering all phases from initial scoping and site measurements to analysis and final reporting.
- Conduct electrical network and power quality audits, recommending corrective actions such as power factor correction, harmonic mitigation, and load management.
- Evaluate thermal and utility systems, including boilers, steam systems, furnaces, HVAC, chillers, compressed air, pumps, and motors, to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Develop Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans aligned with IPMVP guidelines and assist clients in implementing ISO 50001 energy management systems.
- Review and approve technical reports, preparing savings and investment cases (payback periods, IRR) to support client decision-making.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on site.
- Support business development activities by contributing to technical proposals, project scoping, and costing.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Energy Systems, Power, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional Engineering Council (PEC) registration is desirable.
- 4-6 years of experience in industrial and commercial energy auditing or energy management, including expertise in electrical network and power quality audits. Proven ability to lead audits and prepare client reports is essential.
- Proficiency with technical tools such as power quality analyzers (e.g., Fluke series), thermography cameras, flue gas and combustion analyzers, ultrasonic flow meters, compressed air leak detectors, and data loggers.
- Advanced skills in Excel for savings calculations and financial modeling. Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:
- Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) from AEE, Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), or ISO 50001 Lead Auditor certification are highly desirable.
