This position supports the Manager or Senior Manager of Financial Management in overseeing the financial portfolio of the project. The role focuses on ensuring strict compliance with PGEP agreements, the Project Implementation Manual (PIM), donor requirements, and internal control procedures. The incumbent will carefully review and analyze financial documents submitted by Partner Organizations to maintain transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the project’s financial portfolio, ensuring compliance with PGEP agreements, PIM guidelines, donor requirements, and internal control standards.
- Review Statements of Expenditure (SoEs) submitted by Partner Organizations, verifying their accuracy and completeness against supporting documentation.
- Prepare detailed SoE review reports to support management in making informed decisions and maintaining financial oversight.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures aimed at enhancing compliance and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to financial audits and donor reporting processes as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, preferably within project or donor-funded environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial compliance requirements related to PGEP agreements and donor regulations.
- Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing financial statements and expenditure reports.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prepare clear and concise financial review reports.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively liaise with Partner Organizations and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks and financial reporting standards.
