Assistant Manager HR

J7 Emporium, Islamabad’s upcoming premier shopping and lifestyle destination located in B17, is preparing to open its doors soon. Built on the founding principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline, the mall aims to deliver a world-class retail and mall experience. To support this vision, we are assembling a dedicated team that embodies integrity, commitment, and professionalism. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Manager HR to establish and manage HR operations from the pre-opening phase through to steady-state functioning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for mall operations, including security, maintenance, and support staff prior to opening.
- Maintain and update employee records, attendance, leave, and payroll inputs accurately and within deadlines.
- Assist in drafting, implementing, and rolling out HR policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and employee handbooks.
- Plan and coordinate induction and training programs for new hires, including pre-opening orientation sessions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, addressing grievances and workplace concerns professionally.
- Support performance appraisal cycles, goal-setting, and periodic reviews across various departments.
- Assist with disciplinary processes, documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws.
- Collaborate with department heads in Operations, Security, and Maintenance to assess staffing needs and manpower planning.
- Maintain HR Management Information Systems (HR MIS) or HR Information Systems (HRIS) and generate reports for senior management as required.
- Support compensation and benefits administration, including attendance-linked payroll inputs.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities to foster a positive workplace culture.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within retail, mall operations, hospitality, or facilities management sectors.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and payroll processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR information systems.
- Ability to work on-site at J7 Emporium, B17 Islamabad, with flexibility during the pre-opening phase.
- High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
