Assistant Manager Inspection

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Car Inspection to oversee the daily operations of our car inspection business. This role involves managing both the Lead Qualifier and Inspector teams to ensure efficient lead handling, high conversion rates, and consistent inspection flow. The ideal candidate will focus on maintaining operational quality, monitoring key performance indicators, and driving improvements across the inspection process.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Qualification & Conversion:
Manage the Lead Qualifier (LQ) team by monitoring daily performance and tracking key metrics such as attendance, lead coverage, qualification, and conversion rates. Ensure timely contact and follow-up of leads within established timelines. Identify gaps in lead-to-inspection conversion and implement strategies to improve these rates.

Inspector Management:
Oversee the field Inspector team to ensure timely completion of inspections. Monitor inspector productivity, attendance, availability, and the quality of inspection reports. Allocate inspections based on lead volume, geographic location, and team capacity while ensuring compliance with inspection processes and service standards.

Hiring & Training:
Support recruitment and onboarding efforts for Lead Qualifiers and Inspectors. Develop and deliver training programs for new hires and provide ongoing coaching to address performance gaps and incorporate customer feedback.

Lead Flow & System Management:
Monitor daily lead inflow to ensure all leads are accurately captured, assigned, and actioned. Identify and resolve gaps in lead routing, system updates, or operational processes by collaborating with relevant teams. Maintain visibility of the entire funnel from lead generation through to completed inspections.

Performance & Operations:
Maintain daily and weekly operational dashboards and performance reports. Track critical KPIs including lead response times, qualification and conversion rates, inspection completion, LQ productivity, and inspector utilization. Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Collaborate closely with Product, Commercial, and Customer Support teams to enhance the overall inspection experience.

Required Qualifications

- 2 to 4 years of experience in operations, sales operations, call center management, field operations, or automotive services.
- Proven experience managing teams, preferably both inside sales/call center and field teams.
- Strong understanding of operational KPIs and conversion funnels.
- Proficiency with dashboards, CRM or lead management systems, and spreadsheet tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication, people management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple operational priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in the automotive or inspection industry is advantageous.
