Mashreq Global Network (MGN) serves as the Bank’s distributed operations platform across India, Pakistan, and Egypt, supporting Mashreq’s global service delivery strategy. This role, based in the MGN Pakistan Central Management Office, focuses on driving the strategic program agenda, ensuring effective governance across initiatives, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. The position emphasizes delivering program outcomes and enhancing employee engagement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Lead internal and external teams to manage various programs by defining project goals and ensuring their successful completion. Organize projects and activities in line with the Management by Objectives (MBOs) and Book of Work for MGN Pakistan. Oversee ongoing project management by identifying and managing changes, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing plans that promote excellence in execution. Produce accurate and timely project status reports.
Project Leadership and Governance: Align key projects with the MGN Pakistan strategic roadmap, regularly reporting progress, risks, and benefits to senior leadership. Support the Head of MGN Pakistan in translating strategic goals into actionable programs and measurable outcomes. Maintain a centralized project documentation repository, compliance registers, and define program KPIs/SLAs. Track and follow up on governance forum actions to ensure accountability.
Reporting and Communication: Develop and manage dashboards, trackers, and reporting packs for project reviews and governance meetings. Design high-quality presentations and visual content to support both internal and external communications. Continuously evaluate and improve tools and templates to streamline workflows and enhance governance transparency.
Operational Support: Provide executive assistance to the Head of MGN Pakistan by managing calendars, communications, travel arrangements, and daily administrative tasks to ensure seamless operations. Coordinate key organizational activities such as team events and stakeholder engagements.
Risk Management: Assist in mitigating regulatory risks related to the Mashreq Global Network delivery model by ensuring compliance with applicable Pakistan regulations and the Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework. Prepare and review risk reports concerning MGN central management functions for senior management and risk committees. Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures, supporting the development and documentation of related processes.
Governance: Support senior management in organizing the MGN Governance Forum, including preparing meeting materials, recording minutes, and tracking action items through to closure. Ensure that rationale, progress, controls, and decisions are clearly documented to facilitate reviews by external regulators, internal audit, and control functions.
Required Qualifications
A university degree in Business Administration, Operations, Project Management, or a related field is essential. Candidates should have between 5 to 8 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in program or project management, or governance roles within financial services, consulting, or regulated environments. A solid understanding of project management functions, documentation standards, and the project lifecycle is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills are necessary, along with a pragmatic and action-oriented approach.
