The Assistant Manager Operations will play a vital role in supporting production planning and managing daily operational activities within the production department. This position is responsible for assisting in Production Planning & Control (PPC) functions, managing Bills of Materials (BOM), overseeing material consumption, and maintaining accurate production data through ERP systems. The role requires close coordination with production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of operational challenges. The Assistant Manager will also contribute to process improvements and cost control initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Production Planning & Control (PPC) activities to ensure effective scheduling and resource allocation.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOM) to facilitate accurate production requirements.
- Monitor material consumption closely and report any variances to maintain cost control and inventory accuracy.
- Update and maintain production data within ERP systems to provide real-time tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to streamline operations and resolve issues promptly.
- Track production schedules and assist in resolving operational bottlenecks or delays.
- Support initiatives aimed at process improvement and cost reduction to optimize production efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in production or operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Practical knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC), Bills of Materials (BOM), and consumption planning.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems for production tracking and data management.
- Solid understanding of production workflows, inventory control, and material management.
- Strong coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Sialkot, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The offered salary range is PKR 60,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
