The Assistant Manager – Payroll & HR Operations will play a pivotal role in managing the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll and employee financial settlements for both permanent and third-party contractual staff. This role involves overseeing the entire payroll cycle, including end-of-service settlements, loans, allowances, reconciliations, and related HR reporting. The position ensures strict adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, internal controls, and audit standards, collaborating closely with HR, Finance, employees, and external payroll vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete monthly payroll process for permanent and contractual employees, ensuring accuracy in all inputs, deductions, allowances, and updates.
- Conduct thorough payroll reconciliations between HR data, outsourced payroll computations, and Finance records, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Administer employee Full & Final Settlements and End-of-Service Benefits, ensuring correct calculations, approvals, and timely disbursements.
- Oversee employee loans and allowances, ensuring compliance with policies, proper authorization, timely payments, and accurate payroll recovery.
- Maintain comprehensive payroll and financial records, ensuring audit readiness with minimal non-conformances.
- Liaise with HR representatives, Finance teams, employees, and payroll vendors to resolve payroll, settlement, loan, and allowance issues efficiently.
- Prepare and deliver payroll, employee cost, settlement, loan, allowance, and other ad hoc HR reports for management review.
- Identify and implement improvements in payroll and HR operations to enhance controls, reduce errors, and increase process efficiency and service quality.

Required Qualifications:
- ACCA certification or a BBA degree in Finance or Human Resources from a reputable, HEC-recognized university or institution.
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in payroll and benefits management with a solid understanding of payroll processes and fundamental finance concepts.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of statutory requirements including EOBI, SESSI/PESSI, and related compliance frameworks.
- Good understanding of payroll compliance, employee benefits, deductions, and statutory contributions.
