The Assistant Manager – Procurement plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s procurement activities by managing the administrative processes related to acquiring office supplies, equipment, services, and logistical needs. This position works closely with the Senior Manager – Procurement to ensure that all procurement efforts are aligned with the approved Procurement Plan and comply with organizational policies as well as IsDB procurement standards. The role demands attention to detail, effective coordination, and adherence to established procedures to facilitate smooth and transparent procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administrative procurement process for office supplies, equipment, services, and logistical requirements.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager – Procurement to plan and execute procurement activities efficiently.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with the approved Procurement Plan and organizational policies.
- Coordinate procurement tasks in accordance with applicable program procedures and IsDB procurement standards.
- Assist in monitoring procurement timelines and maintaining proper documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Facilitate communication between suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the procurement team to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports as required to support decision-making and audit processes.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a similar organizational or programmatic setting.
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including familiarity with IsDB procurement requirements.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple procurement tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise efficiently with suppliers and internal departments.
