Assistant Manager Procurement

DP World NLC Logistics (Pvt) Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Procurement to join its team at the Clifton office in Karachi. This role is integral to the newly formed joint venture company, focusing on sourcing and acquiring goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring timely supply to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with vendors to secure optimal pricing and service quality.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and new sourcing opportunities.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable contractual terms.
- Manage the creation and administration of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procurement policies. Address and resolve any order discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Identify opportunities for automation and process streamlining.
- Ensure strict adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the procurement cycle, promoting ethical and responsible procurement practices.
- Monitor and ensure that procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met in line with departmental policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
- MBA with a specialization in Supply Chain Management.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant procurement experience.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems.
- Sound knowledge of both local and import procurement processes.
- Understanding of the Purchase-to-Pay (P-P) process.
