Key Responsibilities
- Ensure products are produced and stored according to documented standards to meet required quality levels.
- Approve production operation instructions, including in-process controls, and enforce strict adherence.
- Review and authorize production records before submission to the quality control department.
- Oversee maintenance of the department, premises, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure process validations and calibrations of control equipment are performed, documented, and reported.
- Coordinate initial and ongoing training for production personnel, adapting programs as needed.
- Manage overall production activities and control of pharmaceutical products within the healthcare facility.
- Define, propose, and implement annual production plans aligned with business goals.
- Manage product cost control, assist with new product costing models, and analyze budgets to identify and reduce waste.
- Supervise all production process activities, including maintenance and workforce management.
- Handle logistics, warehousing, and inventory management of raw materials used in production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm, M. Pharm) or Pharm-D.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on production lines, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of processing and manufacturing operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration across disciplines and with external stakeholders such as regulators.
- Highly motivated, confident, and well-organized with the ability to deliver clear and concise reports to middle management.
