This role supports the Senior Manager in overseeing comprehensive procurement compliance, risk management, vendor governance, audit readiness, reporting, analytics, and process improvements. The objective is to ensure procurement activities are compliant, controlled, efficient, transparent, and aligned with organizational policies and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Risk Management: Monitor and track procurement risks throughout their lifecycle, including identification, assessment, mitigation, closure, and maintenance of the Procurement Risk Register.
Data-Driven Analysis: Utilize tools such as Oracle, SQL, and other analytical platforms to analyze procurement transactions and ERP/system controls. Identify exceptions, unusual patterns, process deviations, and potential compliance risks. Support the development of automated compliance monitoring and reporting systems.
Compliance Monitoring: Conduct periodic reviews of ongoing and completed procurement projects to assess adherence to organizational policies, procedures, governance, and strategic requirements.
Audit and Rectification Management: Coordinate with Internal Audit, External Auditors, and other audit teams. Conduct pre-audit and self-assessments, ensuring timely tracking, implementation, and closure of audit observations and rectification plans.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with Requesting Departments, Finance, IT, ERP, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance, process, and operational issues, ensuring timely execution.
Reporting and Management Support: Prepare regular procurement risk, compliance, audit, and project reports, dashboards, management presentations, business cases, and analytical reports to support decision-making. Submit weekly and monthly compliance reports to management.
Data Analytics and Insights: Analyze procurement data to identify trends, recurring issues, control gaps, and improvement opportunities. Develop data-driven tools and dashboards to enhance visibility and support decision-making.
Policies, Controls, and Governance: Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, guidelines, and preventive/corrective controls. Monitor their effectiveness to strengthen governance and accountability.
Training and Compliance Culture: Conduct training and awareness sessions for internal and external stakeholders on procurement policies, processes, risks, and controls to promote compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Digital Transformation and Automation: Work with ERP and IT teams on system optimization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. This includes requirement gathering, process mapping, testing/UAT, implementation, and system control enhancements.
Process Improvement and Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, transparency, compliance, and governance through benchmarking, innovative technology-enabled solutions, and continuous monitoring of controls.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree is mandatory. A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Information Systems, or related fields is preferred. Relevant professional qualifications in Audit, Risk, Compliance, or Assurance are advantageous.
Certifications: CIA, CRMA, and CFE certifications will be considered an added advantage.
Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in procurement compliance, risk management, or related functions.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, report-writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP and procurement-related modules.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with ERP/IT teams for system enhancements and automation.
- Understanding of accounting, finance, and financial statements.
- Vendor and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Expertise in analyzing procurement data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, databases, Oracle/SQL, and data analytics; programming and automation skills are preferred.
