Assistant Manager - QC

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of bulk, finished products, and stability samples following approved methods, ensuring proper status labelling.
- Maintain raw data and analytical results in logbooks and Batch Analytical Record Sheets according to SOPs.
- Manage equipment usage records, reagent preparation, volumetric solution standardization, and calibration logs.
- Ensure availability and accessibility of approved test methods and monographs for laboratory activities.
- Perform validation of non-pharmacopoeia methods and develop/validate stability-indicating methods.
- Prepare stability schedules, protocols, and reports; conduct ongoing stability testing and analysis of samples from new sources.
- Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, and GDP during internal and external audits.
- Provide QC support for process validation, cleaning validation, water system validation, and other projects.
- Develop and simplify analytical methods; participate in investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Write and update laboratory SOPs; troubleshoot testing failures; strictly follow SOPs during lab activities.
- Keep specifications and test methods aligned with the latest pharmacopeia standards.
- Coach and mentor junior staff, fostering leadership development within the team.
- Promote compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Maintain positive communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive and progressive laboratory culture and ensure good housekeeping practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, with a postgraduate degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality control or regulatory compliance within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of product safety, quality, efficacy, and compliance risk assessment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as the Drugs Act 1976, DRAP Rules 2012, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
