Assistant Manager - Sea Freight Export Operations - TJ / 1898511

Our client, The TAQ Organization, is seeking an Assistant Manager for Sea Freight Export Operations based in Lahore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire sea freight export process, from shipment initiation to completion. This role requires close coordination with shipping lines, suppliers, foreign agents, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient shipment execution. Leading a team of four, the Assistant Manager will oversee carrier bookings, issuance of Cargo Release Orders (CRO), and submission of Shipping Instructions (SI), all while adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and export regulations. The position demands a proactive approach to managing the Sea Freight Export (SFE) nominated business, minimizing disruptions, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee end-to-end sea freight export shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout the process.
- Coordinate effectively with shipping lines, suppliers, foreign agents, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth shipment operations.
- Handle carrier bookings, ensure accurate issuance of CROs, and submit SIs promptly to meet operational deadlines.
- Maintain strict compliance with SOPs and export regulations to guarantee legal and procedural adherence.
- Lead and supervise a team of four, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous operational improvements.
- Manage the SFE nominated business to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize cargo booking software and freight management systems to optimize freight forwarding and logistics planning.
- Ensure all export documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with customs and international shipping regulations.
- Coordinate supply chain activities with vendors and service providers to maintain seamless logistics flow.
- Address and resolve customer complaints proactively to uphold strong client relationships and service standards.
- Implement and leverage freight management software tools to streamline processes and track shipments effectively.
- Support vendor relationship management to ensure reliable service delivery and timely cargo movements.
- Stay updated on import/export regulations and industry best practices to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
