NASA Chemicals (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and results-driven professional to join their Supply Chain team as an Assistant Manager – Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement activities, ensuring the smooth availability of materials essential for production, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively coordinate with multiple departments and optimize supply chain processes to support the company’s operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of chemicals, raw materials, packaging materials, and other production-related supplies.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable sourcing.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to guarantee timely availability of materials aligned with production requirements.
- Prepare and monitor material planning and procurement schedules based on production plans and inventory levels.
- Monitor stock levels, consumption patterns, lead times, and material requirements to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality Control, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment.
- Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and commercial terms to maintain high standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and related documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement improvements in procurement and supply chain processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or material planning, preferably within a chemical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with vendor management, analytical capabilities, and effective communication.
- Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with procurement and inventory management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
