Assistant Manager - Supply Chain

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage product costing and ensure timely availability of materials. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the Bill of Materials (BOM), conduct product-wise costing, coordinate weekly purchase plans, and monitor delivery schedules to support smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Bill of Materials (BOM):
- Develop and maintain accurate BOMs for all products.
- Update BOMs promptly when specifications, materials, or suppliers change.
- Compare BOMs with actual material usage and identify discrepancies.

Product-wise Costing:
- Prepare detailed cost sheets for each product, covering materials, labor, and overheads.
- Monitor cost fluctuations and analyze variances against standard costs.
- Provide management with reliable cost data to support pricing and margin decisions.

Weekly Purchase Coordination:
- Create weekly purchase plans based on production schedules and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with production, stores, finance, and suppliers to obtain approvals and place orders.
- Initiate and track purchase requests and orders to ensure timely procurement.
- Maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding shortages and excess inventory.

Delivery Deadlines:
- Monitor all open orders against their scheduled delivery dates.
- Proactively follow up with suppliers and escalate potential delays early.
- Keep production and sales teams informed about material availability.

Reporting:
- Prepare weekly reports on purchase and delivery status.
- Generate monthly reports on product costing and cost variances.

Required Qualifications

Education:
- CMA qualification or part-qualification from ICMA Pakistan (ACMA), or
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from an HEC-recognized university.

Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of BOMs and costing methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo.
- Understanding of local sourcing and import procedures, including letters of credit (LCs) and customs clearance, is advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Additional Information

This position requires working the night shift; only candidates willing to work during these hours will be considered. The role is based on-site.

Compensation:
Monthly salary ranges from Rs140,000 to Rs160,000.
