We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Coordinator to manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of food, beverages, packaging, and other supplies within our hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all inventory processes comply with food safety standards and company policies while maintaining accurate records and minimizing waste. This role requires close collaboration with purchasing, kitchen, and restaurant teams to support smooth operations and maintain optimal stock levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying quantities, quality, expiry dates, and product condition against delivery documentation.
- Store items properly according to food safety guidelines and storage requirements, ensuring the integrity of all products.
- Maintain organized storage areas including warehouse, refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage to facilitate easy access and inventory management.
- Implement and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory rotation procedures to reduce spoilage and waste.
- Issue stock to kitchen and restaurant departments based on approved requisitions, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
- Conduct regular inventory counts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to maintain accurate stock records.
- Record all stock movements meticulously and report any discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels continuously, identifying items that require replenishment to avoid shortages.
- Minimize product wastage, damage, and stock losses through careful handling and adherence to best practices.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage environments in compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
- Coordinate effectively with purchasing, kitchen, and restaurant management teams to align inventory with operational needs.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all receiving, transfers, returns, and wastage activities to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, food safety standards, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is considered an advantage.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in inventory management within the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry.
Work Location
This position requires in-person attendance at the designated work site.
