We are seeking a qualified and motivated Assistant Manager – Taxation to join our team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation, with practical experience in tax compliance and a thorough understanding of Pakistani tax laws. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee tax compliance activities, including income tax, sales tax, federal excise duty, and withholding tax filings.
- Prepare and file income tax and sales tax returns accurately and on time.
- Handle withholding tax statement filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct tax audits and assessments, liaising with tax authorities such as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA).
- Respond to notices and queries issued by tax authorities effectively and within deadlines.
- Utilize FBR IRIS and e-Invoicing systems for tax-related submissions and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.
- Analyze tax data and draft clear, concise reports and correspondence related to taxation matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on tax-related issues and provide guidance on tax implications.
Required Qualifications:
- CA Inter qualified or MBA in Finance or Accounting.
- Completed articleship in the Tax Department of a reputable Chartered Accountants firm.
- Strong knowledge of Pakistani tax laws, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty, and Withholding Tax provisions.
- Practical experience in tax compliance, including filing of income tax and sales tax returns, withholding tax statements, and managing tax audits and assessments.
- Proficiency in using FBR IRIS, e-Invoicing platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
- Strong drafting and communication skills to effectively interact with tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
