We are seeking a skilled Assistant Technician Spray–Finishing to join our Finishing department at our SITE Area facility in Haroonabad, Karachi. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in leather finishing and spray operations, with a strong understanding of the processes involved in preparing and coating bovine leather. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently within a production environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the production manager and ensure all finishing activities are completed on time and according to organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in applying finishing coats, pigments, binders, and topcoats on bovine/cow leather as per production manager’s specifications.
- Operate and monitor finishing mechanical equipment to ensure smooth production flow.
- Prepare leather surfaces through buffing, sanding, and cleaning, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all finishing stages from base coating to top coating.
- Demonstrate proficiency in color matching to meet customer specifications and sample standards.
- Strictly follow SOPs for each finishing stage, including base coats and final spray applications.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in leather finishing and spray operations is preferred.
- Intermediate or Bachelor’s degree; a technical diploma in Leather Technology is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of spray booth operations, ventilation systems, and safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work in shifts and meet strict production deadlines.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and email for reporting purposes.
