Associate Airside

This position involves supporting airside operations with a focus on baggage handling, aircraft servicing, and maintaining cleanliness during aircraft turnaround. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, timely execution of assigned duties, and close coordination with the Executive Airside (EA) and other ramp staff. The candidate will be responsible for manual towing of ground support equipment, assisting at check-in counters, loading and offloading baggage and cargo, and performing various cleaning tasks both inside and outside the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

- Report punctually to the Executive Airside in proper uniform, including a high visibility jacket, and display valid passes for attendance marking.
- Review duty allocation and take position at the assigned duty area on time.
- Manually tow or push non-powered ground support equipment (GSE) with aircraft as directed by the EA.
- Assist Customer Service Counters (CSC) at check-in by placing baggage on conveyor belts, helping wheelchair passengers, cleaning counters, and setting up tape barriers and banners.
- Load the correct pieces of baggage onto trolleys and transport them swiftly to the aircraft for loading.
- Prepare accurate baggage reconciliation sheets.
- Follow loading instructions at the aircraft, loading and offloading baggage and cargo according to the loading Performa.
- Handle rush tag, transfer tag, and priority tag baggage as instructed by the EA.
- Ensure no loading or offloading occurs without prior knowledge and approval from the EA.
- Perform cabin cleaning during turnaround as per instructions.
- Conduct lavatory cleaning and toilet flushing wearing masks and gloves, following cleaning protocols.
- Clean kitchen areas, counters, and galleys as directed.
- Carry out deep internal cleaning, including baggage and cargo holds, when advised by the EA.
- Perform external cleaning of the aircraft as specified or ordered by the EA.
- Operate flush carts to service aircraft and use water carts to replenish potable water tanks.
- Remove contaminants caused by airsickness, spilled food or drink, and stains from seats or carpets.
- Collect rubbish during turnaround cleaning and other cleaning tasks.
- Vacuum clean carpets in aisles, under seats, and in the cockpit.
- Report any observed discrepancies immediately to the EA.
- Collaborate with ramp staff to clear Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from parking stands.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Assistant Manager (AM), Executive Airside (EA), or Senior Airside (SA).

Required Qualifications

- Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent (completion of twelve grades).
- Work experience: 1-2 years in a similar position within airside or ground handling operations.
- Physical requirements: Age between 20 and 35 years.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
