Associate, Demand Planning

We are currently seeking a Supply Planner to join our dynamic team and contribute to optimizing our inventory and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop daily and weekly replenishment plans at the supplier level, taking into account inventory parameters, actual sell-out data, and planned forecasts.
- Participate actively in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) forecast meetings and adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Calculate accurate supply plans based on generated demand forecasts to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Prepare and update monthly and weekly supply planning files along with KPI reports based on actual performance data.
- Maintain healthy inventory levels in distribution centers and stores by monitoring target days of cover, availability targets, and shrinkage limits.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team to drive necessary adjustments to the forecast plan.
- Coordinate with suppliers to align deliveries and improve fulfillment performance.
- Monitor supplier-related issues and escalate when necessary to maintain product availability.
- Identify slow-moving SKUs and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to prompt action.
- Detect SKUs with no inventory movement for the past 28 days and flag them for review.
- Work cross-functionally to support projects, drive initiatives, and resolve operational challenges.
- Perform additional tasks relevant to the supply planning function as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Between 1 to 3 years of professional experience in demand or supply planning.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, along with knowledge of SQL.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights. Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and process optimization.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

Experience in FMCG or grocery retail sectors is advantageous, as is prior exposure to demand planning within online marketplaces or e-commerce environments.
