The Growth Account Executive role focuses on expanding revenue within an existing customer base by identifying new opportunities across products, departments, and locations. This position requires a proactive sales professional who can independently build a pipeline, run full sales cycles, and consistently exceed quotas.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect within assigned accounts to uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities across new products, departments, and locations.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial outreach through discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
- Consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales revenue quotas targeting mid-market customers.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline at three times quota through self-generated outbound prospecting.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments involving technical, line-of-business, and executive stakeholders.
- Align customer business objectives with TCP’s capabilities, identifying gaps between current state and desired outcomes.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date account and opportunity records in Salesforce.
- Provide disciplined and precise weekly revenue forecasts.
- Collaborate with Customer Success teams to stay informed on account health while independently driving expansion sales.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience with full ownership of the sales cycle from prospecting to close.
- Proven track record of identifying and selling to new stakeholders within existing accounts, not just maintaining relationships.
- Consistent quota attainment with quantifiable results.
- Experience in B2B sales involving considered purchases that require discovery, multiple conversations, and a structured sales process. SaaS or software industry experience is a plus; backgrounds in payroll services, HR consulting, staffing, or managed services are highly transferable.
- Ability to manage a high-volume account book and prioritize outbound sales activities effectively.

- Ability to clearly map product capabilities to business outcomes and build compelling value propositions.
- Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and pipeline generation through cold outreach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to director and VP-level stakeholders.
- Clear understanding of the boundary between expansion sales and Customer Success responsibilities.
- Familiarity with multi-stakeholder sales cycles and CRM tools, particularly Salesforce; experience with Gong, Outreach, and Clay is advantageous.
- Experience working with channel partners or navigating Request for Proposal (RFP) processes is a plus.
- Growth mindset with openness to feedback, accountability for results, and a collaborative approach with internal teams.
- Resilience in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Ability to work prolonged periods at a desk using a computer.
