The Associate People Business Partner plays a pivotal role in aligning human resources strategies with business goals. Acting as a trusted consultant to managers and employees, this position provides expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational change initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to fostering positive workplace relationships and supporting the company’s evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Develop and sustain positive relationships with employees and management. Offer guidance on employee relations matters such as conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and performance improvement plans. Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant employment laws.
- Performance Management: Collaborate with managers to implement and enhance performance management systems. Provide coaching on delivering performance feedback, setting goals, and planning employee development. Facilitate performance calibration and talent review sessions.
- Organizational Change: Support change management efforts by delivering HR expertise and clear communication to employees. Address concerns and help ease transitions during organizational shifts.
- HR Policies and Procedures: Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence to develop, implement, and consistently apply HR policies across the organization. Offer interpretation and guidance on HR policies to managers and staff.
- HR Metrics and Analytics: Monitor and analyze HR data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Use insights to inform HR strategies and prepare reports for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Three to four years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as a generalist or HR Business Partner.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to HR challenges.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Professional HR certifications such as PHR or SPHR are advantageous.
