Associate Software Consultant - IBM SOA

We are currently looking for a motivated Junior IBM SOA Developer to join our engineering team. This entry-level position is designed for candidates with a foundational understanding of software development, web services, and enterprise integration concepts who are eager to grow their expertise in IBM integration technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the development, implementation, and support of integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise integration solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the creation and consumption of SOAP and REST-based web services.
- Contribute to building and maintaining integrations using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Work with XML, XSLT, WSDL, and other integration-related technologies.
- Gain exposure to messaging and queuing systems, including IBM MQ and similar platforms.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving integration-related issues.
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and deliver integration solutions.
- Adhere to development best practices, coding standards, and documentation guidelines.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of relevant software development or integration experience, including academic projects or internships.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and HTTP fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of system integration concepts such as SOA, synchronous vs. asynchronous communication, and message queues.
- Familiarity with SOAP, REST APIs, and web services.
- Basic understanding of XML; exposure to XSLT and WSDL is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with IBM ACE/IIB, IBM MQ, or similar integration platforms.
- Experience with tools such as SoapUI, Postman, and Git.
- Some exposure to Java or ESQL programming languages.
