Associate Software Engineer

We are seeking graduating seniors in Computer Science for the role of Graduate / Associate Software Engineer. In this position, you will engage with real-world software applications, strengthen your programming fundamentals, and grow professionally under the mentorship of experienced engineers. Key Responsibilities

Product & Problem Understanding
Collaborate with senior engineers, product team members, and clients to fully grasp each feature’s problem, user base, and business objectives. Clarify any ambiguous requirements before coding. Decompose features into small, well-defined tasks with clear acceptance criteria. Analyze user flows and edge cases, identify UX issues, and propose simpler alternatives. Post-release, evaluate feature effectiveness using usage data, error reports, and user feedback.

Engineering & Delivery
Develop and maintain features across frontend, backend, and APIs with guidance from senior developers. Write clean, readable, and well-tested code adhering to team standards. Debug and resolve issues in both development and production environments. Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback. Deliver changes through Git-based workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.

AI-Assisted Development
Utilize AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to plan, build, test, and document features efficiently. Convert client domain knowledge into reusable AI contexts. Design multi-step agent workflows with defined roles, handoffs, tool access, and human review checkpoints. Test and refine AI skills and agents against real project scenarios while maintaining cost-efficient AI usage. Review and fully understand AI-generated outputs before deployment.

Collaboration
Communicate progress and blockers promptly and clearly. Explain technical trade-offs in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (graduating in 2026 is acceptable).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
- Understanding of web application architecture, including frontend, backend, REST APIs, and databases.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Comfortable using Git for branching, commits, pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC): planning, building, testing, and releasing.
- Experience using AI coding tools on real projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly explain your reasoning.
- Interest in user experience and business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
