We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and specifying software requirements, including functional, quality, usability, and other non-functional aspects. This role involves understanding the business context, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring clear communication of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. The candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with rotational night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, elaborate, and specify comprehensive software requirements covering functional and non-functional needs.
- Study the business environment, including organizational structure, systems, stakeholders, and circumstances driving software development.
- Develop detailed requirements specifications and related documentation artifacts.
- Facilitate impact analysis for software change requests in collaboration with the project team.
- Engage with subject matter experts, customers, and other stakeholders to clarify and validate business requirements.
- Capture and document project and product vision through continuous interaction with requirements providers.
- Coordinate with requirements providers and the Project Manager to prioritize deliverables effectively.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Software Architects, and development teams to refine and elaborate requirements to the necessary level of detail.
- Create external design specifications and work with Architects and Team Leads to further enhance these documents.
- Facilitate consensus within the project team to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and resolve any conflicts.
- Act as an internal requirements provider by suggesting product enhancements that offer competitive advantages.
- Support Software Architects, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders in validating requirements.
- Participate in process definition and improvement initiatives in coordination with Quality Engineering.
- Take responsibility for information security tasks within the scope of assigned work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a major in Computer Science.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis or a related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Domain knowledge in Prepaid Card services, Banking, and Financial Services.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles.
- Experience conducting cost/benefit analysis.
- Proven involvement in full-cycle Business Intelligence implementations, from requirements gathering to delivery.
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Familiarity with modeling techniques and methods.
- Ability to develop business cases.
- Proficiency in creating use-case diagrams, business model diagrams, and flowcharts.
- Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools such as Jira and Quality Center.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to rotational shift schedules.
