Associate SQA Engineer – Enterprise & Scalable Platforms (Onsite, Karachi, PKR Salary)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with up to two years of experience in software testing. This role is ideal for candidates who have a foundational understanding of functional and regression testing and are eager to grow their skills in a dynamic Agile environment. The successful candidate will have experience working with testing tools, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, create, and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Validate workflows across different platforms to ensure seamless user experience.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
- Log, track, retest, and verify defects, ensuring thorough follow-up until closure.
- Support release validation activities including smoke testing and demo verification.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, evidence, and coverage tracking to support audit and quality processes.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to facilitate smooth development cycles and timely issue resolution.

Required Qualifications:
- Fresh graduates or professionals with up to two years of experience in QA or software testing, including relevant academic projects or internships.
- Solid understanding of functional and regression testing methodologies, with basic knowledge of API testing and the defect life cycle.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking tools, and a good grasp of Agile workflows and acceptance criteria.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to document test cases and results clearly.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
- Basic knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
- Experience or exposure to testing mobile applications, OTT platforms, or enterprise-level software is a plus.
- A proactive learning mindset, openness to feedback, and eagerness to develop technical expertise.
- Ability to work in a structured and accountable manner, taking ownership of assigned testing activities.
- Curiosity and willingness to understand systems comprehensively from end to end.
