Associate SQA Engineer (Fresh)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of software testing principles, strong analytical abilities, and a keen desire to learn and develop within a professional software development environment. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure that software products meet established functional, usability, performance, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand both business and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on web and software applications.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and checklists to ensure thorough coverage.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools, ensuring clear communication of issues.
- Reproduce reported defects and provide detailed information such as steps to replicate, screenshots, and logs.
- Perform UI, usability, and cross-browser testing to guarantee a consistent user experience.
- Participate in requirement review sessions and provide feedback from a QA perspective to improve product quality.
- Collaborate closely with developers to investigate and resolve defects efficiently.
- Execute regression testing following bug fixes and new software releases to maintain product stability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results, defects, and overall testing activities.
- Assist senior QA engineers in preparing test plans and strategies to align with project goals.
- Engage actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills by adopting QA best practices, tools, and automation techniques.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to six months of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing are encouraged to apply.
- Solid understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with different types of software testing and testing approaches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
