Associate Sr QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications. This role requires hands-on experience with Selenium and a solid understanding of test automation frameworks, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and other testing types.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web applications using Selenium WebDriver.
- Configure and troubleshoot test automation environments and frameworks to ensure smooth execution.
- Build scalable, reusable, and reliable automation frameworks, incorporating best practices in architecture and design.
- Define and implement effective test automation strategies, including prioritization and coordination of testing activities across project releases.
- Execute automated regression and functional test suites, analyze results, and provide actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, methodologies, tools, and increase automation coverage.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve defects across web, API, mobile, and related application components.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Provide regular status updates, detailed reports, and testing insights to project teams and management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4 to 6 years of proven experience in automation software testing.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using tools such as TestNG and TDD/BDD methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of API testing and API automation.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools, preferably Azure DevOps, along with Git version control.
- Solid understanding of various testing types including Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, System, UAT, and Database Testing.
- Experience with database validation using SQL queries.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with performance and stress testing; knowledge of JMeter is a plus.
