The ATM Monitoring Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the bank’s ATM network. Based in Karachi, this full-time, on-site position involves real-time monitoring of ATM performance to maximize uptime and enhance customer satisfaction. The officer is responsible for identifying service disruptions, coordinating with technical and branch teams to resolve issues promptly, and reviewing transaction logs to detect any unusual or suspicious activities. Escalation of security concerns follows established protocols to maintain operational integrity.

This role also includes tracking cash levels at ATMs, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting routine audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. Maintaining detailed records, preparing performance reports, and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders are essential components of the position.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor ATM network performance continuously to ensure optimal functionality and uptime.
- Identify and respond promptly to service disruptions or technical issues by liaising with technical teams and branch staff.
- Review transaction logs regularly to detect and investigate unusual or suspicious activities, escalating security concerns as necessary.
- Track and reconcile ATM cash levels, addressing discrepancies in coordination with relevant departments.
- Support routine audits and compliance checks related to ATM operations and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate records of ATM activities and prepare periodic performance and incident reports.
- Communicate updates and findings to stakeholders to ensure transparency and timely resolution of issues.

Required Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively coordinate with branches, operations, and technical teams.
- Solid analytical abilities to interpret transaction data, identify patterns, and resolve operational and security issues efficiently.
- Foundational knowledge of finance, including banking transactions, cash management, and reconciliation processes.
- Auditing skills to assist with compliance reviews, transaction monitoring, and internal control assessments.
- Relevant experience in banking operations, ATM monitoring, or electronic banking channels is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools, core banking systems, and MS Office applications.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and the flexibility to work shifts or extended hours when required.
