Audit Officer

We are seeking a Retail Audit Officer with 2 to 3 years of experience, particularly within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing processes related to retail operations and possess the ability to analyze financial records and ensure compliance with company policies. This role requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and recommending improvements. The position is based on-site and offers a competitive salary range.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of retail outlets to verify accuracy in financial transactions and inventory records.
- Review and analyze sales data, cash handling procedures, and stock management to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Identify discrepancies, potential risks, and areas for process improvement within retail operations.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with store managers and other stakeholders to implement corrective measures and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Support periodic financial reviews and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Master’s degree in Commerce (M.Com), or a relevant field.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in retail auditing or a closely related area.
- Strong understanding of retail financial processes, inventory management, and audit methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey audit findings.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
