Audit Operations Accelerator, Associate, Other Assurance, Lahore and Karachi

We are seeking a motivated Assurance Business Partner (ABP) at the Consultant or Senior Consultant level to join our Audit Operations Accelerator (AOA) team based in Lahore, with opportunities to work on projects across the MENA region. In this role, you will support audit partners, teams, and internal stakeholders in managing audit engagements and meeting reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you will serve as the primary contact for administrative audit engagement management tasks. Your duties will include setting up audit projects, managing the audit engagement economics process by initiating and monitoring periodic billings, and supporting audit teams with billing inquiries. You will advise and assist audit partners and managers on administrative tasks related to audit engagements, ensuring progress throughout the engagement lifecycle by coordinating tasks within EY’s proprietary audit platform. Additionally, you will oversee engagement controlling processes such as budget planning, analysis, and project reporting. Driving efficiency through best practices and automation will be a key focus, working closely with EY Rapid to centralize audit engagement management activities.

You will also be responsible for quality assurance of data entry, budgeting, reforecasting, and timely billing of audit engagements. Providing ad hoc reporting and assisting with internal business requirements will be part of your role. Furthermore, you will investigate and resolve audit queries and escalations promptly, participate in regional AOA meetings, update local MENA practices related to AOA activities, and identify challenges in implementation.

Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic background with a degree and a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ICMA, CA, or progress toward completing a recognized accounting qualification.
