Key Responsibilities

- Understand software requirements and contribute to the design of automation products and processes aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze existing technology architectures, system interdependencies, and application stacks to inform project planning.
- Collaborate with project management to formulate and submit detailed project plans, outlining development steps and timelines.
- Engage with users, partners, and clients regularly to review project objectives and current operating procedures.
- Research and develop new automation solutions, contributing to the automation roadmap and enhancing testing processes.
- Maintain and improve automation frameworks for cross-technology stack use, building reusable libraries across business verticals.
- Design and execute software development and testing activities, including preparing test environments, creating test plans, and developing test cases/scenarios.
- Resolve complex technical design issues and participate in design discussions related to functional and non-functional automation requirements.
- Implement, track, and report key metrics to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements through automation.
- Own the testing and validation of code to eliminate errors, track defects, and document successful mitigation strategies.
- Take initiative in problem resolution by leveraging all available resources for research.
- Design and update automated testing tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop software programs that adhere to Wipro standards, utilizing accepted design patterns and thorough documentation.
- Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to understand product vision and backlogs, developing scalable and robust test automation for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for user stories and managing the test automation backlog.
- Work closely with development teams to improve continuous deployment practices by formalizing processes and providing necessary tools.
- Partner with business Subject Matter Experts to understand automation requirements and deploy solutions accordingly.
- Ensure long-term maintainability of systems through comprehensive documentation aligned with Wipro guidelines.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication among test personnel, users, developers, and clients to expedite problem resolution and document successes.
- Provide support to testers and support personnel in diagnosing system issues.
- Perform backend/database programming for key projects as needed.
- Stay current with industry standards and integrate them appropriately into automation practices.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in automation and software testing.
- Proficiency in Python, particularly for insights and automation scripting.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle, test automation frameworks, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and reusable libraries.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
