Key Responsibilities

- Understand software requirements and contribute to the design of automation products or processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze existing technology architecture, system interdependencies, and application stacks to inform project planning.
- Collaborate with project management to formulate and submit detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with objectives.
- Engage with users, partners, and clients regularly to review project goals and current operating procedures.
- Research and develop new automation solutions, contributing to the automation roadmap and continuous process improvements.
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks for cross-technology stack use and build reusable libraries across business verticals.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, including test cases, scenarios, and usage cases, ensuring readiness of the testing environment.
- Resolve complex technical design issues by developing technical specifications and participating in design activities with development teams.
- Implement and monitor key metrics to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements through automation.
- Own testing and validation processes to eliminate errors, track issues, and maintain a defect database with mitigation strategies.
- Design and update automated testing tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop efficient programs adhering to Wipro standards by leveraging existing logic, team collaboration, and accepted design patterns.
- Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to understand product vision and backlog, developing scalable, high-quality automated tests for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for user stories and maintaining a test automation backlog.
- Work closely with development teams to enhance continuous deployment practices by formalizing processes and providing necessary tools.
- Partner with business Subject Matter Experts to understand automation requirements and deploy applications using automation tools.
- Ensure thorough documentation of projects following Wipro guidelines to support long-term maintainability.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with testers, developers, users, and clients to facilitate problem resolution and document successes.
- Provide support to testers and support personnel in identifying and resolving system issues.
- Perform backend/database programming for key projects as required.
- Stay current with industry standards and integrate them appropriately into automation practices.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of experience in software development and automation testing.
- Strong expertise as a Full Stack Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
- Proven ability to design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks and tools.
- Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on continuous integration and deployment.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, testing methodologies, and defect tracking.
- Proficient in backend/database programming and automation scripting.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
