We are looking for a Senior Automation SQA Engineer with extensive experience in quality automation strategy and execution across software products. In this role, you will lead test automation efforts, develop and maintain test infrastructure, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver in Java.
- Develop and maintain hybrid automation frameworks incorporating the Page Object Model (POM) and data-driven testing techniques.
- Create reusable page functions and utility classes to support scalable and maintainable test automation.
- Construct flexible and robust XPath expressions using advanced functions such as contains(), starts-with(), text(), and normalize-space(), including navigation through parent, child, and sibling nodes.
- Manage dynamic web elements, including locating table headers to identify column indexes, iterating through rows for validation or interaction, and handling dropdowns and buttons within table cells.
- Handle dropdown interactions using both the Select class for standard elements and custom dropdowns built with various HTML tags.
- Manage multiple browser tabs and windows efficiently using Selenium’s getWindowHandles() and switchTo() methods.
- Apply effective wait strategies such as WebDriverWait and ExpectedConditions to ensure elements are fully loaded and to prevent common Selenium exceptions like ElementNotInteractable or StaleElementReference.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline and improve overall test coverage and efficiency.
Required Qualifications

- Solid understanding of Java programming concepts, including writing clean, modular code, and proficient use of collections such as List, Map, and Set.
- Experience with exception handling, loops, and conditional statements in Java.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid automation frameworks, especially the Page Object Model and data-driven testing using Excel or JSON test data.
- Expertise in XPath construction and dynamic element handling within web applications.
- Proven skills in managing dynamic tables, dropdowns, tabs, and windows in automated tests.
- Familiarity with wait mechanisms in Selenium to handle synchronization issues effectively.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit to organize and execute test cases.
- Knowledge of Apache POI for handling Excel files within test automation.
- Familiarity with reporting tools like ExtentReports to generate detailed test execution reports.
- Experience using Git for version control and collaboration in software development projects.
