The Automotive Engineer – Mechanical (EVEE) is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore, focused on the design, development, and refinement of mechanical systems for automotive and electric vehicle projects. This position requires ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of mechanical components while working closely with cross-functional teams. The engineer will be involved in technical analysis, documentation, prototyping, testing, and validation to support the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for automotive and EV applications, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
- Conduct detailed technical analyses to troubleshoot mechanical issues and optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with electronics and software teams to integrate mechanical solutions within broader vehicle systems.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to verify design functionality and reliability.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to project stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and development processes.
- Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to promote team growth and expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Automotive Engineering with hands-on experience working on automotive systems and components.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles related to automotive and EV systems, including vehicle dynamics, powertrain, and thermal management.
- Proven analytical skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of electronics as they relate to automotive and EV systems, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working with multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE software tools and familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Lahore, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, learning-oriented environment.
