Automotive Engineer - Mechanical

This full-time, on-site position based in Lahore seeks an experienced Automotive Engineer specializing in Mechanical systems. The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing mechanical components and systems for electric scooters, including chassis, suspension, drivetrain, and structural elements. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet performance, safety, and reliability standards throughout the development and production phases.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with electronics, design, and manufacturing teams to align mechanical designs with overall product requirements.
- Conduct mechanical analysis and testing on prototypes and production units to identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems in both prototype and production stages to ensure product quality.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports to support design decisions and project progress.
- Support production and quality assurance teams by optimizing designs for manufacturability and assembly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for both product design and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Automotive Engineering principles and experience in vehicle systems and mechanical design.
- Proficient analytical skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and performance evaluation of mechanical and vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with electronics related to electric vehicles, including a basic understanding of powertrain integration and electronic control interfaces.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document technical findings, and present recommendations clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience with CAD tools and mechanical simulation software.
