AV & Automation Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager based in Karachi to join our Technical Operations team on a full-time, onsite basis. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience working with Audiovisual (AV) Systems, Home Automation, Lighting Control, and Smart Building Technologies. This role involves supporting project execution through technical coordination, system design reviews, and evaluating innovative automation solutions. The position offers a competitive salary range of PKR 90,000 to 130,000, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough technical research on AV systems, home automation, lighting control, and smart building technologies to stay updated with industry trends.
- Review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical drawings, system layouts, and equipment specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate effectively with engineering, design, and installation teams to facilitate smooth project progress.
- Evaluate AV integration plans, lighting control systems, and equipment selections to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Identify technical discrepancies early and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Support system programming, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities to guarantee optimal performance.
- Ensure all technical solutions align with project specifications, client expectations, and approved budgets.
- Liaise with vendors and technology partners to resolve any technical challenges that arise during project execution.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in AV systems, home automation, lighting control, or smart building technologies.
- Practical knowledge of system integration, programming, and commissioning processes.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and system specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with effective communication and project coordination abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Familiarity with Crestron or similar automation platforms is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
