AWS Specialist

In this remote, hourly contractor role, you will serve as an AWS Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) responsible for designing and executing realistic, challenging computer-based tasks using Amazon Web Services and related cloud workflows. Your primary focus will be to create practical AWS scenarios, document them clearly using SuperAnnotate, ensure your environment supports the tasks, and record yourself performing these tasks on your computer. This work contributes to training advanced AI models by demonstrating how real users navigate and complete cloud computing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Create realistic AWS tasks by developing challenging scenarios that can be executed on a computer using AWS services. Document each task clearly and comprehensively in SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare your work environment to support each task. This includes ensuring you have the necessary AWS access, permissions, test resources, sample files, and any relevant references before recording.
- Record yourself executing the AWS tasks, following project guidelines to ensure the workflow is clear, complete, realistic, and safe.
- Provide detailed documentation of each task’s context, including steps, goals, resource details, files, and notes, so reviewers fully understand the task and its completion.
- Demonstrate practical use of AWS services such as Console navigation, IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, billing views, security groups, deployment workflows, and troubleshooting scenarios.
- Maintain high submission quality by reviewing recordings and documentation before submission to ensure tasks are complete, understandable, safe, and aligned with project standards.

Required Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with AWS for cloud setup, configuration, monitoring, storage, compute, permissions, deployment, or troubleshooting workflows.
- Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher to accurately understand project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfort using computers, browser-based tools, cloud consoles, documentation platforms, terminals (when necessary), and recording software.
- Ability to design realistic and challenging AWS tasks that reflect actual cloud, DevOps, backend, administrative, data, or infrastructure use cases.
- Strong foundational knowledge of AWS services including IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, security groups, regions, billing awareness, and resource configuration.
- Capability to ensure your setup supports the task by having appropriate AWS access, permissions, sample resources, safe test environments, and any required references ready prior to recording.
- High attention to detail in task preparation, workflow execution, and quality checks to ensure recordings are complete, safe, and easy to understand.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to consistently deliver quality work in a remote, hourly contractor role across different time zones.
